So I've been gone for about a year now. I hit burn out. Everything I read felt the same, no originality, it was the same plot just different settings, and characters. I had no motivation to write anything, reviews, posts, books, stories, fanfiction, etc. I just didn't have it in me. I've been floundering to find something to fill the void since. Fitness is my next go to when I hit reading burn out and that wasn't even doing the trick this go round. I've thrown myself in to my work and to be fair I think that's the problem, it's over taken my head space so much that there isn't room for anything else. About the time I stopped writing was around the time I got my promotion. Lately everything has gotten to be to much and nothing catches or keeps my attention long.
This morning I had no idea that I would be writing this post or even thinking about getting back into blogging again. But I received a newsletter from one of my favorite authors, J. L. Bryan, which sent me down a rabbit hole. He released the audio version of one of the Ellie Jordan books, I always preorder the books (it's the only series I do this for) and buy the audio because I love the narrator they have for them. So when I clicked on it, I was offered 2 free books with a trial of Audible (you know the shtick) I was like ok and bit. Then had to find a book for the other credit (I still haven't) so I start looking and end up with 2 Kindle books and a free trial of Kindle Unlimited. (I ended my subscription when I stopped reading so much.)
